Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad warned that Israel could not be saved from its downfall, not even by starting a new war. Ahmadinejad annouced the warning at a public event on Thursday held in Hormozagan Province, Iran.
The Iranian leader said that Israel “had reached the end of its road” and was no longer “useful for its masters [the West]” who had “gathered the most criminal people in the world anhd stationed them in our region with lies and fabricated scenarios.” adding that “they waged wars, committed massive aggression… and made millions of people homeless.”
Iranian President, Ahmadinejad also fiercely criticezd the presence of US troops in the Middle East stating that they should stop “making mischief” and asking them “What are you doing in our region? Why are you deplying military forces here?”
The message came with a clear threat of unmistakeable consequences: “If you [Americans and US allies] think that military deployment will help you seize the oil in Iraq and in the Persian Gulf, I must tell you that the young generation of the Middle East will cut your hands off from the oil reserves of the Persian Gulf”.
The remarks came as tensions increased over Iranian sanctions as well as ongoing clashes in East Jerusalem between Palestinians and Israeli military forces.
